Proper Disposal of Computer Monitors and Televisions
Computer monitors and television screens are often made with cathode ray tubes - (CRT's). CRT's contain large amounts of the hazardous material lead. Environmental laws forbid the disposal of CRT's into landfills.
It is important for businesses and property owners to understand that drivers from Recology Vallejo will tag any container that contains CRT's and leave them un-emptied.
The business owner or property owner must remove the CRT's and then face additional charges for special collection of the tagged trash.
Please help us save you from these extra charges and frustration!
Make sure that your employees or tenants understand that CRT's must be recycled. Encourage them to contact us
to arrange for a driver to collect monitors or televisions for recycling. This service is easy and convenient. Customers may also drop off up to four computer monitors and televisions at a time the Recology Vallejo Recycling Facility.
The cost for the service depends on the size of the screen. Pickup of a 17 inch or smaller screen is $20.00. Screens that are larger than 17 inches but smaller than 36 inches cost $25.00. Collection of screens larger than 36 inches is priced on a case-by-case basis. Contact us
